From Bleeding Cool:
The Dutch press is reporting that artist Minck Oosterveer on Marvel’s Ruse, Boom’s Zombie Tales and The Unknown, and the Don Lawrence Collectiondied on Saturday in a motorcycle accident.
A central Dutch comic industry figure, Minck was best known for his comic book strips for De Telegraaf; Zodiac and Nicky Saxx.
He was fifty years old and is survived by his wife and two children.
Oosterveer’s most recent published U.S. work was in Spider-Island: Deadly Foes #1.
Whenever I hear about the loss of a member of the comics industry who died before their time, it always hits me especially hard. Like Edvin Biukovic, Mike Parobeck, Mike Wieringo, Michael Turner, and too many others, Minck Oosterveer had more greatness ahead of him. Another sad loss for comics.
