G4’s Attack of the Show tackles comics creator rights

I really need to catch up on my DVR…

On the August 1 episode of Attack of the Show on G4TV, guest host Baratunde Thurston dropped some knowledge about how the creators of comics characters in blockbuster movies (including Thanos creator Jim Starlin and Bane creator Chuck Dixon) are/are not compensated for their work. It references one of The Beat’s many recent articles about these issues.

No spoilers. I will just say that it is a worthy ending to Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy and as worth seeing as any of his films.

Keep an eye out for a brief moment that looks a bit like this:

That’s all you’re getting. Now go see it if you haven’t already. And hope that DC rewards more important Batman creators for its success, as they have with Jerry Robinson, Neal Adams, and Chuck Dixon…
